Rosalie Care Home is a newly opened, small residential care home for older people. The food hygiene inspection took place on our first day of operation. At the time of the visit, no permanent residents were in placement and our first respite resident was being admitted later that afternoon. All mandatory training, including food hygiene training, had been completed at the time of the inspection, and no concerns were raised in relation to cleaning standards at the time of the inspection. Since the inspection, our food safety management systems have been fully embedded and documented, including completion of Safer Food Better Business records, clear food labelling and segregation procedures, temperature monitoring, staff health declarations, and infection control arrangements. Relevant staff hold Level 2 Food Safety in Catering qualifications, and these procedures now form part of our established daily practice. We remain fully committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and continuous improvement to safeguard the wellbeing of our residents.
